Really!, she said.
Never proven, he said.
But in the books I have read—
Authors long dead.
I’ve seen it happen, so I know.
It just can’t be, not so.
Why don’t you believe?
They just mean to deceive.
There are miracles, so there!
Natural causes. Not rare.

But the fishes, and the loaves—
No fires, and no stoves.
Oh, the walk atop the sea—
You’re kidding me
But twelve men in awe,
Just thought they saw.
You do believe that he—
The man from Galilee?
Yes, preached often for the poor,
Couldn’t agree more.
Urged care for the sick and the blind.
Has often crossed my mind.
Then why not accept as fact?
Might cause me to think and act.

      Thanks, Ann.
I got mixed reactions in group last week. Liked style and layout (which was better than WordPress allows me to do), but a couple disagreed with message.
So, anyway, what is new in the land of poetry.

I love the message….”Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” is still the best rule of thumb out there. Of course, nobody can “prove” that was ever said either 🙂
