FEAR AND FAILURE

Teetering somewhere on that tightrope
between fear and opportunity, we pause,
waiting for the risk free moment,
searching in our mind that armor,
deadening though the armor may be,
as opportunity beckons and fear freezes.

Meanwhile,
a master painter wields bold brush ,
trusting over-strokes to amend to his vision.
The photographer shoots and shoots,
knowing the imperfect can be discarded.
And, among the best in baseball’s Hall
are many who failed in seven of ten tries.

It is funny how fear can still freeze me cold. And that is in a foolish computer game where nothing is real. I am surprised by this fact. Thanks dad,for your continuing insights. Love you.
