SEASONS OF MANKIND

Spring,
when young men’s fancy
turns to what they fancied
in summer, winter and fall.

when young maidens divert
youths awkward attentions
with hardly any effort at all.

when old men feel early warmth
begin in sunny outside air and
trudge slowly to their garden tools.

when old and wiser women
shake graying heads, know he’ll overdo,
keep Ben Gay stocked for such old fools.
